so today i noticed a noise coming from my engine. while the car is in motion i cant hear it, can hear it from up close or when i have my door open. its a slight "clack" "clack" "clack" "clack" noise. seems like it was closer to the front belts but it almost seemed like i was hearing it closer to the throttle body.

any thoughts? i will have the dealer look at it when my oil change is due.

 

Could be the belts, although mine were making a whirling noise when i took it in to the dealer. Good Luck and let us know what they find.

no... dont pay attention to it anymore... dealer inspected around the engine area and said possibly my belts. everything else looked good they said. i feel better when i drive up next to a beemer and their engine has a light clacking to it... lol
