why? its overkill....and now the BM might come in play, as well as cost, just not worth it

Not to mention the stopping distances did not improve. Infact the the Akebonos apparently fade more so then the brembos.

yeah, Ake's only have look's on Brembos. Brembo's weigh less and have better pad & rotor selection. Ake's are def a step up for non-Brembo cars though and look really great when customized.

The 150lb lighter 370z 60-0 is 108 feet, G35 with brembos is 112.

Not to mention I'd rather not have to buy 14in rotors and pads for the akebonos.

Where are those akebono brakes from? I definitely see they say Infiniti but what are they off of.

I love you pic ******. I can never get tired of looking at g pics. What I really want pics of is that caprice with composite seats and ar15 mount.

On another note, why dont cops use ak47's instead of the ar15's? I myself have an ar15 and love it but it doesn't compare to the reliability of the ak. Sorry. Just had to add that.

Thats a clean sedan! I have one too that looks almost exactly the same. The exhaust tip caught my eye. So you just buy them and u can slip them on?

Most street cars will never see the extreme conditions most BBK's are desired for. Running down to the local burger joint or a quick 70-0 stop isn't really going to punish the brakes too hard.

Honestly, a stock 05/06 brake setup would prob not be that far behind in terms of performance to the Brembo setup for 1 stop. Now, do a few laps at speed around a track and then you might start to notice a difference in how the brakes bite and fade once they have some serious heat building up in them.

But, for 95% of the guys out there...BBK's are mostly a visual thing first and foremost. The added performance is just a welcome addition.

Thats is why I would do the Ake's ↑↑. My G is the DD not a track car so weight and brake fade dont come into play for me. They look better IMO. Cant wait to see what they will look like behind my M45 Sport Wheels.
