Door panel vinyl sliding down

I have two questions about the interior of my 04 G35 Sedan.

The driver side vinyl is drooping down below the plastic piece as the image shows below. Has anyone come across this problem and is there any way to fix this? If I take the door panel off will I be able to see this from the reverse side? I thought about cement but there is sticky foam on the back of the vinyl and it would seem that gluing it would probably fail since I would be gluing to tacky foam. I can tuck the vinyl back up with a credit card and it holds for a few days but eventually droops back down.

Also, the handle cover is cracked near the bottom. Does anyone know where to get this replacement for a decent price? I’ve looked around on the net but companies use different names for the piece and I’m afraid to buy the wrong part.

I had the exact same issue with my 05, took it to a trim shop and they fixed it. Felt like a jackass when they charged me $20 to use a heat gun and some glue, but it's held...

Ok, that sounds promising. So how far did you peel it down? An inch or less/more? What type of glue did you use? My vinyl is drooping all the way across the entire seam.

To Happy: They just used a hot glue gun?

It wasn't a hot glue gun so much as upholstery glue cured by heat. The heat gun was one of those beasts they use to peel wall paper...

Anyone use spray adhesive? How do you get it on there w/o getting it all over the place?

Ahh they used it for curing the glue. I know nothing about car interior. If I can't replace it, I'm clueless; plus I don't want to create more problems down the road.

I will probably drive this car until it falls apart, sort of like an on going project.

just use some 3M glue (it was the white and red tube i think) and apply it to the back of the vinyl and leave some blue tape on it overnight...i did that with mine and its held fine

I had the same problem. Spray glue works great. Just use masking tape to mask off whatever you dont want to get sticky with glue
