Well I managed to stuff it all back in. I had a hard time sliding the assembly back in where the silver trim piece goes under the dash pad.

I replaced the climate filter (it was nasty) and replaced both seat heater switches that were out. MIght as well.

There's not much room behind the HU is there? I seriously don't know how people cram all this extra AV and RCA stuff behind there. It's terribly tight the aftermarket converter harness, extra wiring and sockets, and antenna extension.

So I had a master electrician who my company sublets audio issues to look at my stereo. He said the heat regulator is the main culprit that kills these. Apparently since all the replacement stereos are re-manufactured, theyu dont replace these regulators, so they kill all the solder points inside the unit. My extended warranty covered this repair so as of now, I am as happy as I can be. I will replace the system for a Double Din shortly, but this gives me time to shop and piece together the right speakers and amps and headunit. I still want that Clarion unit that Dave has, I just want it to come down in price again.. We will see...
