z springs on g shocks ride quality ok?

i was going to try and find full z shocks and springs but, have a guy with just springs available from an 06 z. i know they'll lower my 05 sedan 1" all around but, from what i've read that's with the z shocks and springs. could i simply use the z springs on my shocks and it lower the car while maintaining good ride quality or do i need to hold out until i find someone with both shocks & springs from the z?

From what I've read you could do that & but it will wear out your shocks faster. What is the rush? Why not wait until you have the shocks & do the job once.

You can do it, but even if you have the sport shocks, you are asking them to dampen rear springs that are 33% stiffer. Whether you get new shocks or not, it will oversteer more with 06 (revised) Z springs. I had that setup and thought it rode roughly even with D-specs set to soft. That being said, if you are on a budget and went to reduce the wheel gap, it could be worth it. Also consider getting front z springs and rear G coupe non-revised springs. Then the spring rates will be the same as a sedan with sport suspension.

I just did 350Z revised with new Tokico HPs. It's noticeably firmer, but HARDLY uncomfortable. Don't buy used shocks over 50K miles, they're most likely spent.
