Y are Sedan headlights so expensive!!

Exactly as to the title of the thread.
Why in the world are the headlights so damn expensive 1300 for a pair of nice looking headlights? thats crazy! is there any actual reason y they are so expensive? when you can just go buy blacked out ones for 1/4 of the cost? is there some sort of plastic that they are using that no one else is using? i just don't get it. is there any place you can get really nice headlights for the 35x sedan 04 that isn't going to brake the bank. i do have specifics like the halo lights and being nice projection headlights. is it only expensive cause of my taste? of is this do able to find under 800 bucks? cause i can buy coilovers for that price. so if anyone has some places of knowledge or something cause mine are ready for some change they haven't seen any love since it walked off the lot. they are hazed and fogged. and the headlight polish stuff only works for so long then goes back to what it looked like before? thank you.

The only way it might be cheaper is of you do your own retrofit

03-04 can be had for a lot cheaper then 05-06. 03-04 retro would be the way i go if i had one. $200 ebay headlights and retro cost still be less then $1300. But we dont have a cheap ebay for 05-06

reason why they cost so much from dealerships is because of the HID equipment with them.

i was just talking to a vendor or some sort of dealer ( maybe a free lancer) but they wanted 1300 buck for the headlights and that was with you shipping your own ones to them! now the place called CinCityDesign offered it to be around 600 if you send in headlights and around 1300 with new headlights and custom design. so if anyone has better solutions id like to hear this! cause my headlights are getting all yellow and fogged out. id like to replace them to keep the G looking clean! i saw some headlamps on Ebay blacked out pretty much or at least just in the housing let me know what you all think please

i would suggest you research on projectors and find out what you want first. materials would probably cost you 400-500. You can do your own retrofit or pay someone to do it. 300 for duals, 475 for quads. I just got mine done and if you want, i can give you all his info. Amazing work + fast + responsive. you can check out his work on my car here http://www.essentiallites.com/Infiniti.html

buy a retro set from retrofitsource for 300 and do it yourself. It's not that hard, pretty straightforward. Just gotta invest lots of time and patience into it
