Saftey
Just leased an '04 g35x\diamond graphite\graphite\at\premium\sirius. Loving it so far. Snowed here (CT) for the first time this morning so I can't wait to take the car out for a test in the snow.
Question on safety. The salesman @ the dealer told me the g35 got the highest ratings in all crash tests and safety ratings. I know I should have done my homework before signing the papers, but I can't find much info at all on crash tests/safety ratings. Looks like the NHSTA hasn't crash tested the car. Saw another site that gave the car a "good" rating (best) for frontal offset crashes and only an "acceptable" rating for side crashes.
Anyone know why the NHSTA hasn't crash tested the car?
Does anyone have any more info on crash tests/safety.

Well I don't know about NHSTA etc...
But I can relate a recent experience.
When I go in for service, my salesman usually gives me his car to drive.
This day he apologised that he had to give me annother car because
his was just in a bad accident.
Apparently annother salesman was out with a client for a test drive.
They were T boned by a full size SUV which ran a red light.
The SUV hit them @ 45 -50 mph.
The car was a complete write off, but both the driver & passenger walked away.
The salesman had a small cut from a piece of glass but that's it.
I saw the car in the compound & was amazed to see that the passeger
cell was still completely intact.

don't forget to look at the rear as well. altho it doesn't state coupe/sedan.

Thanks for the links. Looks like we are good on a frontal crash but really stink when getting rear-ended. Also looks like our bumpers are poor. I still love my x but wish I had done my homework on safety before I leased!
