7500 isn't too bad on Mobil 1 full sync. I have had the oil tested by Blackstone and it always was good at that mileage.

No issues with the engine and I have never changed with less than 7500 miles on the oil.

I just bought an Infiniti G35X 2005 with 175000, it runs like a champ, only problem the gas gauge, not working properly, and the navi, comes up but then it goes back down and the screen is black.other than that it runs great.

That may be true. OP, you haven't had any compression rod bushings sqeak? If not, YOU ARE A LUCKY MAN.

People seem to be so hung up on modding their cars. It's good to see the stories of people who actually keep it, drive it, and maintain it to a T.

Well done sir.

Thanks for the post. I think the less you mod the less trouble youll run into, for multiple reasons. Most of the issues that ive had were somehow linked to the fact my car is dropped.

94K here and no major mechanical problems.

I have had some squeaking from the bushings but it wasn't too bad. I am replacing them all in the next week or so.

Just flipped 106k. I change oil with semi synthetic every 4500-5000 and it burns about a quart in between.

glad to hear these cars are so reliable. i've got an 05 AT. i doubt the tranny fluid has ever been changed. seems like it could use it. should i just do a simple drain and refill or is there a filter that needs to be changed at the same time? surprised there's not a DIY.
