First Gen (03-06) G35 Sedan Tips/Tricks/Facts You May Not Know
traction control
I installed a switch that turns off both traction control systems not just vdc like the button you already have, lift up the console around the gear shifter and the yaw sensor will be under where the passenger side cup holder would be, unplug it. It will say do not drop on it, then cut the orange wire and wire up a toggle switch. Now you can turn off all traction control and drift on dry pavement even if your all stock, I've done it. But unless you wire up a relay like I did you have to turn the car completely off then hit the switch the other way to turn it back on and when you turn the key back on and crank it your traction control will be on again. Also I always leave my key in the ignition with it cranked or not and lock it when I get out to go into the gas station and it will lock and unlock with the car cranked from the fob.

There are actually no option (or almost no option cars) out there. No Bose, no sunroof, whoever ordered my car ordered it stripped. No options other than the trunk mat and mud guards. And it was under $30k new.
Just weird finding a "sport luxury" car so stripped. Had a '74 Z/28 with just the Z/28 option. No tach, no power windows, no a/c (someone added an aftermarket one) but that was back when people who wanted a faster car ordered them stripped so they would weigh less.
I'm guessing in the case of my G35, the original owner was just cheap.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

The circuit board on the A/C controls went out. It's a common issue with our cars, it's also tied to the radio so they all crap out at the same time. You can replace the radio with another stock one which will probably eventually fail or replace the whole thing with a DD radio and an aftermarket faceplate with the A/C controls built in. Lots of info on that here: https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...urce-list.html
I have a 2006 g35x with the premium package and it has every other feature besides the reclining rear seats and I cant figure out why. It's bugging the hell outta me! Can anyone explain this?
