This car has been on their lot for at least 2 months. Saw it online back then and it's still there


I have an 07 G35x right now..many issues..it has a brand new engine but horrible vibration at highway speed and the trans is acting up....so i am looking to sell and lower my car payments a bit..money is tight..

Carfax says it had some inspections done which is a plus


Will this have an ipod connection?

 

Ipod integration can be done on the 05-06 Gs. Just have to get the kit.

Only thing that concerns me is that the airbag light is on on the dash, and the trim is yellowing above the shifter. Price seems right though. Could probably get it a bit cheaper.

 

You're not gonna find one without yellow trim these days.

I had mine replaced on my '06x and the new replacement part started yellowing less than a year later. I'm now back to pretty much how it looked prior to replacement.

Ipod hookup can be added.


I do see the airbag and tire pressure light on (and the door ajar but i assume it's open). The airbag light would worry me. In my state, you can't get an inspection sticker with this light on. Airbag repairs can be very pricey, so seeing this light on alone would make me walk away.

 

FWIW I bought an identical car just an 2005 for 13.5K at a dealer. However I think they are offering a fair price.

 

looks like a decent car. Tire pressure might be as simple as putting some air in the tire. My light came on just the other morning when it was the first real cold night. The airbag light, I would insist on having it brought to a dealership. I bet it probably has something to do with the recall from last year with the wire under the front seats. If thats the case then it won't cost the dealer any money, if its something else, it will be on the dealer's dime.

 

This seems redundant and probably a noob question coming from me, but im like 8 months being out of the first gen scene. Did they use a different trim piece from 05-06?? My 05 had 67k on it and never once yellowed or even had the slightest tint of yellow..

 

I doubt they did. My '05 is yellowing above the ashtray also.

 

Maybe it was an early 05 thing?? mine was built in 04.

 

Who knows. The replacement part yellowed too, so not like they fixed it.

parts are $100+...so i'm just gonna deal with it. But it stands out pretty well. Just another bit of "character"

I wouldn't pass up a good car for yellow trim though.

Airbag light...i would however. I actually had my driver's airbag replaced under warranty.

 

I live pretty close to this place. Given the lights on and the price you're considering, I recommend taking a trip up 495 to Herb Chambers Infiniti on Route 9 in Westboro. Terrible, terrible dealer to work with, but when I bought my car there, was able to get the car (an '06 G35x) for less than they bought it for at auction. They were new at the time and desperate to move inventory end of month, but it's worth having a look to see if there's anything comparable there you can get without any lights/issues. If you're able to spend $15k+, you can buy something off a dealer lot and not worry so much about issues that might crop up.

Just don't get it serviced there after you buy it.

 

Nissan never resolves issues, just replaces the part & gives a short warranty so it fails after it's their issue. (I am on my second 06 revup that needs to be replaced)

 

When you start the car..does the airbag light come on at any point for a certain time or no?

airbag light came on one night after a friend got out of the car... red airbag light on the dash came on and "passenger airbag off" was displayed to the right of the analog clock. the light stayed on until i brought it into Norwood.

 

I wouldn't buy it at that price. Unless they are negotiable i'd move on. Remember you'll be paying tax and all that junk. You're looking at 16k-17k. Then again I'm the kinda person who only looks for bad*** deals instead of average.

 

^agreed, i picked up a 06 awd sedan w 45k two years ago for 16.1, I searched for a while and worked the dealer pretty hard
