Doing some homework on this topic for now.

What is stock sizing of the sway bars on the X Front and rears.

eibach has RWD rear sway at 24mm.
whiteline has a RWD rear sway at 20mm
hotkis has the AWD kit at FRONT 35mm and rear 28mm.

Finally purchased the Eibach sway bar and was wondering which setting you liked the best?

I liked the middle setting the best.

Digging this thread up from its grave. I want to replace both the rear and front sway bar on my 05 X, but I realize that hotchkis only sells the rear sway bar and that they were looking at testing out one for the front as well. What ever happened with this? Is there a reputable company that produces the front sway bar for the 03-06 X?

Hotchkis did make a sway bar set for the sedanX, but it has been discontinued for years now. I don't know if anyone else ever produced one. As you note, only the front is different from the 2WD sedan. I can dig up the part number for you if you want to try to find a set used. They're rare as unicorns, but if you are patient....?

Thank you. I know they sold a set for the X for a very limited time but I can't find the front anywhere. Hoping someone knows of a reputable company that still sells one, or perhaps someone is getting rid of their hotchkis sway bars.

I managed to find the front sway on ebay, however it only comes with the bushings. Are the collars for these hotchkis sways absolutely necessary, or can the OEM Infiniti collars work just fine?

On that note, I'm assuming I can just reuse my existing sway bar links? I JUST put new MOOG sway bar links on my G35X 9 months ago.

Here's the photo of the collars on the kit I sold when the sedanX went to the insurance graveyard. Don't know if that will help, but it's all I got for ya. Note the Hotchkis collars have a zerk fitting for easy lubing.

I ordered the front off of eBay, it doesn’t come with the collars with a zerk fitting. Even if you google Hotchkis 22444 there is only one set of collars that come with it. Everywhere I look online, only the rears come with the collars.

Ill just have to make due with the existing front collars.

Google this: hotchkis component 15.12.06.39 22244. You'll find a bunch of PDF instructions for installation for lots of different platforms. One of them that mentions the brackets is for a Scion xA/xB. So there appears to be some cross use of the parts. With some hunting you may be able to find a rebuild kit with the right bracket. Also, this from the install instructions seems important :-)

"IMPORTANT: For maintenance, you need to grease the bushings at least once a year (15,000 miles) or when excessive noise occurs. Use a non-lithium based grease only! A lithium-based grease can wash out with water and should not be used."

I always use a "marine grease" , I don't know exactly what the difference is but it has more corrosion resistance or something and has worked for the last 20+years.

You can add a grease fitting to anything, just need to drill and tap the hole.

Yeah, I can always drill and tap a grease fitting into the existing brackets I just wanted to make sure they will work with the new sway bar.

Some people on this forum have stated the rear sway bar is 28mm, I can't find anywhere that its 28 mm. Its advertised as 24mm.
