Wont be able to have it looked at until thursday now...Dealer ordered wrong front wheel bearings..so the car is still apart and the new ones should be there tomorrow
How big of an issue is oil consumption on these ones? Something i should be worried about? I also will change plugs when i get the car but if they have oil in them..i will need new seals won't i?

Oil issues? I mean i don't mind if it burns oil ever fill up..it has 93K on it...now if it burns 2 qts every 3K miles than yes..that does suckOriginally Posted by Specialed
something like that would make me paranoid of buying it
If say someone in my situation has this issue...is this a recall that is fixed no matter if the car is under warranty or no?

Oil burning is VERY rare on those auto first gens... I wouldnt worry about it if the oil doesnt smell burnt on the dipstick. My friends 04 X has 105k and no oil burning there..

Update: Won't be going back to see the car until early next week now...guy who put the bearings on ruined the hubs...all messed up now so now they have to order hubs bearings..all new again..they are putting about $600 into this..so i don't mind waiting as i am in no immediate rush
