any sedan owners try using nismo S tune exhaust?

i'm wondering if anyone on here has tried using the nismo s tune exhaust system from the z. i know as a sedan owner we don't have the cutouts in the bumper for duals but, a friend of mine (z owner) did something i thought maybe could be tried on our cars. what he did was go to single exhaust and he tucked the rear bumper up so you can't even see the second exhust cut out. if i see him tomorrow i'll get a pic so you all can see what i mean. i'm wondering if anyone has tried doing anything like this on their sedan. i have another friend with the nismo s tune exhaust he's selling and i'm thinking that if i could see what it looks like i may try and use it. i just don't want it to look too funky and i want the sound to be good as well. anyone have pics of this type of muffler on a sedan?

if you don't know what i'm referring to the muffler looks like this

(not my pic, if you're the owner and want me to pull it just say so and i will.

another thought also came to mind. i thought maybe if i got it i could cut out notches in the bumper and mount some of the carbon fiber heat shields to cover the cut outlines. what do you guys think about that?

do it. Someone did the OEM coupe muffler on a sedan. Didnt come out quite right but with adjustments it should look better. Try it

managed to get a stock coupe muffler under my RWD G by removing the spare tire well with a cut off wheel. No big deal really.

above pics are out of order but you see what I did. I'm sure the muffler could have been raised up more but I never got around to it.

had to add some length to the mid pipe
and later added length sideways to the tail pipes to make the tips come out further apart
never got around to putting quad tips on but wanted to.
my sister drives the car now I had another baby and bought an Expedition and a few crazy horsepower Mustangs ha ha

no clearance problems was concerned about melting the fuel stuff but it was OK even when the tips were later exended outward for a better appearance.

You'll definitely have to cut out the spare tire well to do it like 68_GT did. But other than that, it's not that hard with a little welding. The fuel evap is pretty easy to relocate or mount vertical. The main thing is cutting out the spare tire well.

I wanted that exact sound and look and something unusual. Just becasue it's not a bolt on doesn't make it a bad modification. Guess I've been cutting up my 68 Mustang and welding all kinds of stuff on it for too long to think this was a big deal it didn't harm anything I sealed it up and dropped in a space saver spare.

the next person with a pair to do this can probably do it even better by looking at what it requires to hang the muffler in there by cutting out a smaller hole

Oh and BTW I did plan on adding that same Nismo muffler later on after I got it all figured out but didn't get to it - those things are expensive

you should paint the muffler with black engine enamel paint, it sticks out like a sore thumb as is. Hangs too low

that is alittle crazy. you added hp and did weight redux at the same time

if i did that i'd have to weld up cut out. the rain and humidity down here would mildew my trunk carpet fast. it's neat you had the ***** to do that tho. i just can't do see myself doing that.

actually I did paint it flat black it after these pics (looked better) and the plan was to have it raised up it would have been easy to do but I never got to it.

as I stated above it was sealed up so no rain, dust, exhaust got it.
