I haven't heard it mentioned yet but there is one good reason to use the parking brake all of time rather than just on steep inclines. If someone runs into your car while it is parked without the brake on, the transmission gets to absorb a good amount of the impact. If the parking brake is set, there is a better chance that the rear wheels will remain locked and skid on the pavement, rather than force movement on the transmission. It may be small consolation if someone hits you but it does cut the potential damage down.

I thought I would hate not having a manual when we first got the car, but after 15,000 miles of driving, the performance of the G35x in snow far outweighs the small inconvenience of an automatic transmission, IMO.
