Some Help needed for a 1st timer

Hi guys,

I just bought a 03 G35 from a salvage yard, it runs and drives good, but it was in a accident prior, so the hood, and front bumper are not perfect aligned, and the left headlight has some electrical problem, and the airbags are deployed both the front and passenger, and the drivers seat, and there some wired noise from the engine, seems like its coming fro, the belt from the ac compressor, since the ac don't work, and there is a humming sounds and this sounds increases with the speed of rotation of the left front tire, the abs, slip, and vds lights are on, the driver and passenger seat belts are stuck, and there is no heat when idling, some heat when driving, other then that its clean, no rust, good paint, clean interior
I paid just a little over 2000 for it, i think its a good deal

so here are a few questions that i got, and yes i did search the forum, and didn't find the answers, as far as the slip, vds and abs light, I did try filling the brake fluid, no change, still on, the humming i think is a wheel bearing, and I really could not find a complete dashborad to replace the ripped one with the deployed air, and also the steering wheel with the airbag, and also can I just unstuck the seat belts some how

I would really appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction, and this is my 1st infiniti car

Thx

Welcome,,,,,

Been there, done all of that.

I just bought a 03 G35 from a salvage yard, it runs and drives good, but it was in a accident prior, so the hood, and front bumper are not perfect aligned, and the left headlight has some electrical problem were any of the previous replaced after the accident? check for a crack in the fiberglass radiator support (bumper), and the airbags are deployed both the front and passenger, and the drivers seat that's about $4K+, and there some wired noise from the engine, seems like its coming fro, the belt from the ac compressor might want to replace both tensioner pullies, since the ac don't work, and there is a humming sounds and this sounds increases with the speed of rotation of the left front tire that's a wheel bearing, the abs, slip, and vds lights are on seems like the alignment is waaay off, check the tie rods...the car probably hit hard on the driver side, the driver and passenger seat belts are stuck they need to be replaced any time the air bag deploys, and there is no heat when idling check for leaks in your radiator, lines, or try just a bleed because you have air in the coolant system, some heat when driving, other then that its clean, no rust, good paint, clean interior
I paid just a little over 2000 for it, i think its a good deal the air bags are going to be the biggest expense if the front end parts (bumper cover, hood grille, headlights, fenders, etc) don't have to be replaced

...and I thought my bumper, hood, and fender gaps were bad...

I don't really know how to adjust those pieces. OEM parts? Maybe that's as good as aftermarket pieces will fit?

It looks like they replaced it with cheap aftermarket parts. Time for a coupe front end swap.

I just checked the front wheels for any play, to make sure it was the wheel bearing, and no play at all, and I took a closer look at the tires, and the inside wall of the tire is just bad, it goes up and down, and I would assume very bad allignment, therefore the vdc and slip lights are on, both the front tires the inside was tread goes up and down when I move my hand over it, the back wheels are very good, so do i need to replace all 4 tires of just the front, since when i had my audi s4 awd, all 4 tires needed to be replaced at same time, and since this is a rwd, those something like this also apply to these cars?

If you bought the same brand tires you can probably get away with buying 2. If you buy different brands of tires than the ones on the good rims, then you need to buy all 4. You don't want to mix 2 different brand tires because their at the handling limit will vary and can cause unpredictable results. The vdc can make up for some sketchy handling, but why risk it.

it starts right away from 1mph, tie rods seem fine, i jacked all the wheels front and back and took them all off, and nothing, it was good, but I could feel the roughness on the front tires the inside tire wall, the tread goes up and down, as of right I have some electrical problem with the drivers headlight, i was wiggling the wires, and the headlight goes on and off, and i took the car to autozone to run a obo check, and it came out as a knock sensor: loose wire, open circuit, bad connection

I ordered a steering wheel cover today without the airbag, and still looking to get the whole dashboard, but no luck on that, can't find one

OK, hopefully the new tires will help the humming noise. Replace those first before anything else, seems like you need them pretty bad.

OEM headlights? They look back on the inside. The wire problem isn't common (first I've head of it), so follow the wire, make sure all the connections are tight and that there are no breaks in the wires. What exactly are you wiggling?

I don't think you'll find a junk yard dashboard since the air bag rips right through the dashboard. The dealer will have that for you and guaranteed to fit correctly.

Wiggling the wires that come out of the headlight that connect into a plug, by wiggling those, sometimes the headlight goes on and off( only the bright headlights work, the regular ones don't work on the drivers side at all, and I have replaced the bulb, no luck, I might just have to take the whole headlight apart and see whats going on, I'am sure its going to take some time to figure out whats going on, and tomorrow I will replace the tensioner pulley,

I have been spending money like crazy lately on this

and I just unlocked the seatbelt, I took it apart, took out some very small pins like that were holding the belt from releasing, but the problem is now the belt is loose, it does not retract back, there is some sort of spring like device, I'll have to play with it this weekend and see if i can make it to just retract the belt back at least
