Headlight Nightmare

Alright guys so today i decided to remove my headlights since im planning on painting them. I came across the biggest nightmare/headache.
Some of the wiring are cut and some are spliced together. I have no idea what to do!
And some of the bulbs are missing, headlight cup (circle plastic that goes behind light)
Driver headlight is aftermarket with aftermarket hid. Passenger headlight is OEM with hid thats been cut, also has aftermarket hid.
I also want all the lights to work.
I also dont care for having factory hids as i will be going with aftermarket ones.

Optioin #1- Paint the headlights put everything back the way it was and say screw it and forget about having all the lights work.

Option #2- Paint headlights, rewire everything properly & neatly and put bulbs.

Option #3- Order new headlights, HIDs and slap it on.

Option #4- Order new headlights, HIDs, and new/used headlight harness that connects to the car harness.

Here are some pictures so you guys can see what im talking about and facing up against.

-PASSENGER SIDE

Passenger side- (blue&black wires are from aftermarket hid ballast)

City lights cut.

OEM HID wires cut

Black&yellow wire connect to the blue&black which turns on the hid.

-DRIVER SIDE

Aftermarket hid wires put together since i believe last owner ripped it and put it back together like that.

Here i have no clue.

City light wires cut.

Damn, talk about a hack job. You could fix that all yourself the right way. Might take some time.

Why would it be a coupe. This is the sedan section for a reason. OP buy strafe's new projector headlights and new aftermarket hids. Should come out to around $460 give or take

Alright so I decided to buy new headlights which come with a new wire harness. And I'll be buying hids. I'm not gonna bother to fix someone else's mess and risk the chance of screwing something up.

Definitely a good choice. It is always a blast trying to fix someone's hack job when you have no idea what they did or what they were thinking.

It was the right choice in deed. Its better than trying to part it together and all.
So pretty much what was rigged was the headlight harness with the HIDs.

As for the headlights i ordered a OEM style. Not a big fan of the black housing.

These are the ones i ordered.

I thought you said you were planning on painting them. The ebay headlight are basically oem like quality and could be opened if you were thinking of painting a different color

Yes, i was planning on painting them the same color as my grill. Never black.
Only reason why i was planning on painting them was because the driver headlight was a chrome housing while the passenger one was gunmetal since it is a OEM headlight.
On top of that the driver one had a water leak, so there was a pond building in there with dirt and it was just filthy, i wouldnt doubt it was stained as well.
