^My favorite wheels, plenty of aftermarket wheels that I love. But those Rays won't be coming off any time soon.

Pnut was mine. He was also the driving factor in my commitment to do a color change from DP to FX brown. I hope to join the super exclusive club of having changed colors twice. 4drmadness can have brown for himself. LOL

Also g35papa and nothsideRacing were big inspirations.

Great thread! For me it was:

PNUT
TTRANK
G35Papa
vodkarocket
Gdup35sedan

Glad to see that 3 of the 5 are still around on the forums and modd'ing their sedans.

Easily the absolute biggest influence on my decision to start (and to a large extent my choices in) modding the sedan. Those very pictures, as a matter of fact. (well, the entire Kyosho Photoshoot really: https://g35driver.com/forums/picture...ot-kyosho.html )

Thanks for shout outs on the thread start haha. I figured the sedan is so underrated and **** on daily that we needed a thread that showed everyone where we came from modding.

I also missed Chris (papa) in my inital post. I think that car is absolutely the first sedan I really liked that I could actually picture myself owning. I never thought my car would end up looking the way it does haha.

To think, 4 suspension set ups, 10 sets of tires, 6 sets of wheels, 2 sets of fenders, 2 hoods, 4 bumpers, 3 trunks.... and three years ago I didn't want to spend the cash on coilovers lol

I originally wanted a coupe because my last car was a sedan. But I ended up getting another one and jumped on the sedan site and saw a whole other world for this platform. These were the ones that let me know that modding the sedan was more unique. After that I was hooked.

^I was literally 15 years old, on my permit when my mom took this pic. Her and I took that car for a drive up north along lake superior for a weekend. That was a fun trip. I remember when I got my licence, the very first day, I just took that car out and ran it through the gears down the freeway. I had wanted to do that for a year on my permit but yea, parents hindered it a bit when they are in the passenger seat LOL. After I got that out of my system, my dad was travelling and let me have the car for a few months. Thats when I fell in love with the car and decided I wanted one of my own when he came and took it back haha.

On comes the search while 'my' car sold (2003 Trailblazer). I remember finding my 05 LS sedan but I wasn't sure about that lakeshore color... thats when I was on g driver looking through pics and found Marcus's (the ONLY lakeshore slate on the forums at the time. Once I saw these pics, I was sold.

After that, my dad and I just kinda went on a G whoring mission.

Started with my 05.

Then pops got rid of the 04x and got an 08xSport

Then I sold my 05 last spring and bought a 6MT 08 Sport.
(which I wont post ***** with another pic )

This was the first 3 G35s we had though. My current 08 is not pictured

My parents love the Infinitis. My dad got rid of his 08 for a Corvette and got my mom an Altima. When the lease is up on that, they are more than likely going to get a new G25X for her. May have a 2 Infiniti garage again which I am pumped about!

Oh this post took me down memory lane... kinda went OT but carry on! LOL
so many Gs lol

This is a great thread Blain.

I joined back in 07 and my biggest inspiration has to be Chris (G35Papa), jmonsale, Tim (TTrank), and Marcus. They have always been there to help me when I had questions.

Others that have certainly stood out and inspired me are Mark (SDGenius), PNut, Blain (4dgs), and Alex heyitzalex.

I was originally going to get a coupe and then I found out that I was going to be a dad! That's when I started looking at sedans. I loved the lines of the car plus it has the same drivetrain as a coupe. That's when I saw the photoshoot of PNUT's car and then I knee I had to have a sedan. I joined driver with out even having a G! Lol and then Mark (SDGenius) moves down the street from me. Talk about having car Evy on a daily basis. Of course I love marcus' and ttrank's cars. There other sedans but those got me going.
