I'm considering a minor cosmetic change to my '06 Sedan...

I want to make the HID low-mean headlights a little bit bluer using 6000K HID bulbs, and the high-beams/DRLs (Canadian car) less brown-halogen-y using 3000K halogen bulbs.

Is anyone running this setup, and if so can you post pics and/or vendor recommendations for bulbs?

I've looked into going dual-HID, and correct me if I'm wrong but accommodating the DRLs seems to prevent adding an HID kit to the lows.

Any input is most welcome!

So am I reading the somewhat lengthy and confusing thread correctly if I say that you lost your high-beams in the conversion to HID fogs/highs?

I can't lose my high beams...

^ If you buy that kit then yes you will loose High beams, if you want to keep high beams iirc you need to buy a bi-xenon hid kit.

Maybe I'll do 6000k HID lows and 2500k halogen fogs/highs...?

I found some H-4 bulbs that were half yellow. So the fogs are now yellow and the highs are the same as they were.

Going to HID will cause havoc with your DRL's unless you get the dealer to reprogram them (and they can't do it legally), so you'd either have to figure out how to disable them yourself or get someone else to do it.

I'd recommend going with a Jet Yellow H4, you can get them through Part Source, normally they have to order it in (they had to order mine in). They're not cheap, around $30 or $40, but worth it IMO, they're good quality and let off a nice rich yellow, they get mistaken for HID's by pretty much everyone, and still cast the proper light on the road because they're still halogens. No glare. They're also a direct replacement so literally plug and play and you're good, your DRL's will still work and let of a nice Euro'ish' yellow.
