lower control arms

So a few weeks ago i took my car to the mechanic for service and he told me i need to replace my front lower control arms. Ive been seaeching and i read that its unlikely that i need to replace the whole lower control arms and that is probably just the brushings that are worn out. I called thr mechanic to ask him and he said he doesnt know. That some cars you can't get just the brushings. I told him i could get them for my car. He asked me how many miles i hot. I told him 76.xxx, he suggested i get the whole arms. Its a big price difference, so should i justvget some whiteline brushings and call it a day?

Get the whiteline bushings and call it a day. My car had 90k on it when I replaced my LCA Bushings and everything is good. Unless the arm is bent or warped, it's not a problem

Im gonna go to another shop to get my oil changed next week. Im gonna ask them if the arms are warped or bent. If they're not i'll just go with the brushings. Alignment is recommended after replacing the brushings right?

They are 'bushings' (as in George W) not 'brushings'.

Nissan doesn't sell the bushings separate, you will have to buy the whole control arm. You can however take the alternative route and buy aftermarket polyurethane bushings and press out the old ones and press in the new one. Whiteline or Energy suspension make the bushings you will need.

Thems the ones. Rent the free balljoint press from AZ and with the right size socket to press them out/in, you'll be back in business in no time...with an alignment of course.
