Patience is a good thing

Ok so for past few days I've been looking up Hr Y pipe and Z suspensions for my 04 sedan and cant find anyone selling it on the market. so i was desperate and started looking up y pipe and springs on eBay xD. I saw some Megan y pipe and springs for sale and was about to buy it! But I thought to myself hey it about to be christmas and i get lucky tmrw. So i gave it another shot the next day on Craigslist in Houston and BOOM! some guy with a 350z was upgrading to aftermarket parts and was parting out his whole exhaust system with the suspension for $120 ONLY! I immediately text him for some picture of the items...The moment I got the pics on my phone I WAS OUT THE DOOR BEFORE I CAN EVEN PUT MY SHIRT ON!!!! It turns out he only live about 30 minutes away!!! so I couldn't help gave him $140 for such a good deal for 08 HRY pipe, whole Suspension!!! But wait............just cause i gave him +$20 extra he threw in his Z midpipe along with the deal!!!!

He told me that since someone hook him up with all his parts hes hooking me up with this deal. What an awsome dude!

Now I'm just debating whether i should install all this myself or take it to a mechanic?

PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE <------now I really understand the meaning of the quote.

Heres the picture he sent me on my phone:

Agreed 100%

I have scored a full HR exhaust system for $100, and I sold the midpipe for $50 and I have the muffler for sale.
And few months before that, I scored a full OEM exhaust from a 05 coupe for $100, sold the y-pipe for $50 and installed the midpipe of my car and have the muffler for sale.

So all i need to do is get these two mufflers sold and i payed next to nothing for a HR y-pipe and a coupe midpipe. BAWCE!

Edit: almost forgot, last year I was going to buy JDM clears but decided to wait few more weeks, Xmas came and the GF got me those along with sport pedals for the car and a domo to hang on rear view mirror.

Install it all yourself. The exhaust is a piece of cake to do, just make sure you have the car secured nicely on jack stands. The suspension is also pretty straight forward. I say take a stab at it, it will make your sweet deal that much sweeter when you dont get raped on labor.

Make sure you get the extension for the mid pipe or it won't fit.

Yea i took your advice and gave it a go. wasn't that hard, took me an 1hr 1/2 to do the suspension and 40min for the y pipe. i think that's not bad for a first timer + my lil bros help

and you're right i ask the mechanic shop he gave me an estimate of $250 for everything installed

love the little extra growl from the y pipe and the 1" drop
