Buyin 2003 G35. Problems?
#16
Engine Valve Cover Leak - Oil around spark plugs / ignition coils - maybe oil burning smell.
Front Compression Rods/Bushings - Clunking/squeaking sound from front suspension going over bumps.
Wheel Bearings - Listening for whining noise when reach speeds near 40mph, can indicate bad wheel bearings. Grab top of tire and shake in and out with force, if I hear clicking or clunking, might have bad wheel bearing.
Bose Audio System - Make sure system is working, not much else you can do because it will probably go out eventually and plan to replace with double din pioneer or kenwood anyway.
Sway/Stabilizer Bar Bushings - Visual Inspection, look for tears..etc.. This is a cheap and easy DIY fix anyway so not a big deal
Also I heard the NISMO bushings are alot better/reliable - http://www.mynismo.com/products/Default.asp?id=5348 - I can get all 22 bushings for $400 are these good and is that a good price?
I also have a question regarding this picture
Can anyone point out to me where the Control Arm Bearing, Front Compression Rod/Bushing, and Sway Bar/Bar Bushings are at? Thanks!
