Is this how you guys drive your cars?

I have almost 100k miles so I don't want to be running it hard very often
to answer the question would I buy the car, I would consider this.
Do you love your car and take care of it or just enjoy the thrill of driving "fast"

I believe I take excellent care of my car. I wash it once or twice a week (weather permitting) and keep the interior completely dust free with a vacuum and leather treatment every two weeks. I also wax it regularly. I've changed all the fluids, spark plugs and filters, got all new tires and did a complete detail right when I got it but I do enjoy accelerating quickly once in awhile. I don't LOVE the car but it is nice. I honestly think I take just about as good of care of my car as anyone could take of it (with the exception of revving it up to 3500 rpm on an average acceleration).

Eh, redline maybe once every other day. Really depends on the mood im in. Some days I just go slow, other days I get a stick up my *** run her.

It is rarely first or second gear acceleration though... my old 05 I was way more about that, but now a days, I just love running here on the highway since that is all thats around Fargo..

I've been pretty easy on this car. Never had it over 120mph. Never pulled more than 0.9g in a turn.

I drive it the way it's supposed to be driven. It is a car after all.

If I didn't want or need all 280hp, I would've bought a different car.

I redline it once a day, it has seen 200km/h, and in open, snow-filled parking lots, it gets sideways.

The nice thing about the G is that it's a lady in the street but a freak in the sheets. I love the fact that it's a refined, luxurious vehicle, but when you stomp on it, it goes like a bat out of hell.

Well, at least to me it does.

My $0.02

05 g35 sedan, car has 101k miles. Probably red line it over 10 times/week. Has survived 20+ track days without a hitch. (gee, how many times do you red line at a track... probably over 300/day i guess) But I think I got lucky and just got a good car. I also shift pretty slowly and carefully, then slam on the gas when it's engaged. No need to burn the clutch off daily driving.

Still on stock shocks? Have you ever replaced them?

That last one was awesome!

I do drive my car pretty hard since i bought it. Being the #1 engine for 10+ years gives me the idea that they are the best and can take abuse on a day to day driving. + i have 7 years to bust the engine before the warranty is up.

I drive my car harder than most people who posted here. I redline it through most of the gears at least 5 times a day. I have had it up to 148mph and I could have gone faster but I had two of my heavier set friends with me. I spent too much money on the car and all the aftermarket parts to just drive normal. Every time I floor it, the car seems to pull harder and harder.

I haven't had a single problem with the car that I didn't create (tires and suspension bearings from being lowered, etc.) I will be driving this car for a long time to come so if I break anything, I will just replace it and continue to have fun. Hands down, the best car I have ever owned.

Damn I'm surprised you guys redline your cars. I accidentally redline mine probably once every 3 or 4 month and everytime that happens I cringe. I don't drive like a grandpa either but I love hitting corners tho Cause it handles so perfectly..

Most people define redline as bringing the needle up to 6300 or whatever it is, not going past the redline.

I'm surprised you don't redline yours. Running your engine through the rpm's every once in a while is actually quite good on your engine, try it sometime. It will not hurt your engine at all, even if you bounce off the redline. The only way you could do damage is if you sat there for 20 minutes bouncing off redline.

Is your's stock? If it is, then your car does not handle perfectly. I just recently went back to stock shocks and springs and have noticed a huge difference in the way it takes corners. If you don't have them already, go get a set of coilovers and then let me know how your car handles!

I've had mine in the 7200 range occasionally. It all depends on how you want to drive your car. Now that I put exhaust and some intake mods on my car I feel like I drive it a little bit harder.
