Tinting Tail Lights..

Ok guys. So I was thinking about tinting my taillights. I just watched a video on Nite Shade and it looked pretty damn good IMO. I have a few questions.

- Have any of you ever used Nite Shade?
- If so, how many coats?
- If you cover the reverse light, will you be able to still see at night?

I would love to see some pics of your tail lights.
Also, if you didn't use Nite Shade and you did something else that you think came out nice, please let me know.. Thanks.

I would imagine using vinyl to be better. I had a friend who used spray-on tint on his tail lights and it faded away 3 years down the road.

vht niteshades it's a hit or miss. some people clear them and wetsand them and buff them and they look really proffesional. Or you could just take them to a bodyshop and have them mix black paint with clear and spray them

yes mine were blacked out and now their almost back to stock color. deff go with vinyl its a few more bucks but it will last way longer plus you can just peal it off. i regret not doing it and it protects your lights from uv rays better.

I used Niteshades on my truck and it came out wonderful I think. Sanded, Cleared, and Buffed. Here are two pictures to try and give you an idea of how they came out. Sorry, no close-ups.

I'm going to use the vinyl. I found them on eBay for $20 shipped and if I don't like them I can just peal them off

Very nice. Get in any trouble because of your reverse lights being blacked out?

Ive had the tails tinted for about 3 weeks and ive been ok. A couple times I had the police behind me and they didnt pull me over so thats a good sign. My co worker has his tails completely black on his F150 and he has had them like that for 4 or 5 years and has only been pulled over once.

Vinyl will be the best way to go. That way if you do get pulled over you can just peal it off.
