New (to me) '06 Sedan

Hello everyone! I bought my '06 sedan 6mt in DG 2 weeks ago today and really love it so far. I only had a limited opportunity to test drive a couple of other G35's before buying mine but they were auto. One thing that caught my attention when I first drove it was how it sounded. When I drove the automatic versions they seemed to have a quieter exhaust but mine is a little louder and sounds almost like a V8. Everything looks stock and I bought it from dealer so I can't ask the previous owner if they had modified it in some way. So I am wondering if this normal and what does yours sound like if still stock? I like the way it sounds but it just isn't what I expected.

Yeah, that's normal. The VQ engine is a little louder than the other V6s. Enjoy your car.

Thank you! Good to know that it is stock but I also couldn't help but wonder if this indicated there might a problem with it since it doesn't seem as fast as I expected. My previous car was a 2002 Altima 3.5 SE with a 5MT but it could be that it felt faster because it was a tin can compared to the G
