Life Expectancy of Stock (non brembo) Brakes

How long are your stock brakes lasting? Mine have 5,000 miles on them and I do mostly rural driving with a little bit of city mixed in.

This was the only bad thing my dad saw in his G35x, he had to replace the stock brakes at about 20k miles...However he mostly sits in traffic for about an hour every day so that mightve played a role. He has different brakes on it now and theyve lasted from 20k miles till now with no problems (67k miles)

the 05-06 brakes last quite a while. I would estimate the fronts to last (50-60 k miles) and the rears to last 40k miles when driving with a 80/20 (hwy/city) usage.

Those have the carryover setup from the 03-04 sedans and coupe (non-brembo). I don't have them, but I think the consensus from this site is that they last about 30K miles for the fronts if you're lucky. Someone else with first hand experience should probably chime in though.

I've read tons of reviews with people saying they've replaced their brakes with just 10,000 miles on their 03-04 and 05 X models

What is your commute like and how are your driving habits?

Vehicle has never been a daily driver. Vehicle sees about 5,000 miles per year. I would say miles are a split between regular roads and highway. I'm pretty easy on the car.
