That looks like the work of a child.

I would bet money it didn't leave the factory looking like that.

use a heat gun or blow dryer, it makes life soooooo much easier. The adhesive will get looser and easier to manipulate.

I used heat first, floss 2nd, goo gone over the adhesive and a razor blade run across the surface of the paint to scrape off the residue.

Just tried debadging the I. There's an outline, but I can feel it, the outline feels hard and rough and not like goo. Is this normal ?

No, that is not normal. As was said before, unlikely it came like that from the factory. I dont know what to tell you, but start with mild stuff like goo gone. That stuff doesnt look like its going to come off easily..you might have to resort to scraping it off if you really need it off.

Double sided tape is your best bet

3M double sided tape, used that on my mazda when I realized there were holes in the trunk.

Thanks, would that be easy for the body shop to remove and not damage the paint? Just the normal 3m double sided or do I need an automotive specific one?

I ended up buying double sides molding tape from oreilly's..seems to work fine thanks...lesson to be learned, if you have a second hand car, ask your owner if they had the paint reconditioned or had a new clear coat sprayed on..
