Hi. i need some advice
my friend just sat in my car, and he had his keys attached to his belt... one of the keys broke right into the leather, and now there's a hole...

the hole is on the part that you sit on, like the part your behind sits on...

if i need to replace it, will i have to replace the whole seat?
or just the bottom piece of the seat (without the back rest)
or maybe even, do they sell the leather covers?


any clues on how much it'll cost?

i feel like crap and i just wanted to cure my curiosity

Yikes, sorry to here that, hope he's nice enough to pay for it though!

 

i asked him if he was willing, and he said yes

but i'm kinda doubtful that he will pay alot for it......
it is a small hole, but it's really obvious...

so like, if it's expensive (i have to replace the whole chair or something) i'm worried that he won't pay for it

even worse, i'm afraid it'll affect our relationship.....

what will happen is that they will replace just the damaged panel. An upholstery shop can carefully cut the stiching and remove the torn panel of leather; then, they sew in a new panel of leather.

it's really simple.

 

but where can they find the exact same type of leather?

the part that has the holes is the part with the small 'breathing' holes...... kidna hard to match

anyone have a clue how much a seat cover will cost?

 

Don't worry the shop can match up the material. Just look in the phone book for uphostery shops, they are the same shops the dealers use.
