Oil changes

The owners manual and Infiniti prefer 5w30 oil in all conditions (section 9-6 in the owners manual) hot or cold the number 10w or 5w the number before the w stands for winter. 10w will actually in many cases lower engine fuel economy. Synthetic oil is ideal for our cars and personally use Mobil 1.

Here is a link that expalins the meanings of the numbers in oil viscosities. Saying 'w stands for winter" is a little simplistic, but not incorrect.
