ccatalytic converters question?

my cats went bad on my 2004 g35x sedan. i was wondering if i can use the cats that are off a 2005 or 2006 g35 coupe?

Good luck getting them off the car. I was under my car the other day praying my cats don't need replacement anytime soon. Maybe by the time I need them, the rust will have eaten completely through the bolts.

i removed mine last week in about 45 mins.. but i assume yours are much worse with the salt on the roads there in ct..

OP how many miles you got on your car??

a lot of ppl use PB blaster or wd40 on the bolts to help them break loose.

as for me? i just work out a lot

lol the exhaust shop i brought it to to swap exhaust put a blowtorch to the bolts, then hammer in the ratchet and then they can pull it off.

just don't strip the bolts!! if u do then i dunno man u kinda screwed lol

what i do is put a wrench on and then use a hammer to hit the other end of it. the quick kinetic energy just breaks em loose.

i went in to get my smog done on my 2004 sedan last year and it failed..ended up being bad cats..infiniti replaced them for free since they were under a warranty..8 year warranty..not sure how many miles..mine only had around 70k at the time

ya man i only got 80,700 miles i am **** out of luck i wish it was still under 80000 and i would take it back to them.
