Angry extended warranty questions

hey guys,
i just got a 2004 g35 sedan, and the previous owners had an extended warranty. i sent the paper work into transfer the warranty into my name, but then my car has been going into limp mode and giving error code p2135(?), something about the TPS. anyways, the infiniti rep at the service department says i have to wait 60 days before i can use the warranty. is that normal because i think it is stupid, and if my car was non functional i would be without a car for 2 months which is insane.

Assuming this is the Infiniti Elite Extended Protection Plan you have, why don't you contact consumer affairs directly to verify what the dealership is telling you?

I know you don't want to pay out of pocket for something covered under warranty, but it is a simple fix. If the code if for the accelerator pedal position sensor you need to swap out the whole pedal assembly. I think I paid $130 for the part and it took about 15 minutes to swap out the parts.

edit: If you search the site you will find procedures to reset the sensor which is done simply by turning on and off the key and pressing the gas pedal is a specific sequence. It might be worth a shot to see if it fixes your problem.

It's the throttle position on the throttle body, not the pedal position sensor so i would have to replace the whole throttle body, and that's a bit more expensive.

I had the P2135 code and it was the accelerator pedal position sensor, not the throttle body.

I don't see anything in here about 60 days, but also don't believe this is the full policy.
