A few small questions

Does anyone know and explain how to take off the center console on a 5at? I want to replace my shift **** and install a shift boot.
Would it be easier to just take out the silver ring or the whole console?
(And explain how i would install a 350z manual ring around the shift boot.)
Also with the momo **** do i need to file down the blue piece or take it completely off?
My last question is how to take out the compartment directly above the glove box because the leather is not completely down.(I tried to remove the 3 screws but still could not find a way to remove it.

For the shift **** pull on the bottom of the oe ****. Mine is a silver ring just pull down on it. It will expose a e clip just pull that out and it should pull the **** off. Then pull direct up on your center console. Put it in drive to remove it.

You have to remove the whole center console, it is held on with three screws on the underside.
