time to replace headlights??

3 months ago my rhs headlight flickered then went off. I turned the switch off then on again and the light remained on. Same thing recurred about 30 minutes later and I repeated the process and it stayed on...well, I've been repeating the process ever since. Last night, the same issue started with the lhs headlight. Is this an indication that I need new headlights or possibly some other issue? The owner's manual does not give one a sense of this stuff and I'd like to avoid going to the Stealership.

Sounds electrical. check fuses, check wires. get a multimeter if you don't already have one to check voltage levels across the light.

Many thanks, I think i'll replace the bulbs. Will need a second mortgage as I heard they're quite expensive.

Check out the vendors classified part of the forum and I am sure after rummaging around in there, the lights will come out somewhat cheaper than you expected =)
