Unhappy WHAT Is This Noise?!?!?

***Edit*** Problem solved! It was the dust shield rubbing against the rotor. When I had my rotors and pads replaced the guy must have had done something so that the dust shield was now touching the rotor. My car is now noise free!

So I thought for sure that this noise was due to bad brake pads/rotors. I thought I remembered hearing a similar noise when my rear brake pads were bad and it seemed to fix it. I had brand new front rotors and brake pads put on today and if anything the noise seems worse than before. Here's a few audio clips. Sorry about the wind noise I tried my best to avoid it:

I'm hoping this is a simple fix because I have put a lot of money into this car in the last month having to do front and rear brake pads and rotors, wheel bearings and a bunch of other stuff.

I really appreciate everyone's help in this forum so far!

2006 G35X 64,000 miles no mods.

***Edit*** Also, when I picked up my car today after the brake pad and rotor change, the guy suggested I come back to get my tie rods changed out and an alignment. Sometimes it's hard to tell if you really need it or they're just trying to get you back to spend money! Figured I'd throw this info in there in case it has something to do with the noise.

Ok here's a 3rd video. I think it's better than the others. It's that swishing noise that actually kind of sounds like wind but it's there and very prominent. Also, I mentioned I've had this noise since before getting my brake pads and rotors changed. I did get that (front right) wheel bearing replaced about a month and a half ago. I can't remember if it started after that or not but I just figure the more info the better!

You guys cant hear anything but wind? I've re-listened to these videos 3 times and can clearly hear it but that's probably because I know what to look for. Its like a squeeling/swishing noise coming from around the front right passenger side.

I guess I'll try and post a better video. I knew these weren't great but I thought they were good enough to hear the noise.

Thanks for the reply. I'll definitely look into that. Any idea on what that would cost to replace?

Almost sounds like the pads are dragging. Does it make any noise if you jack up that side and rotate the wheel by hand?

Good question. I'll definitely check that tomorrow.

Honestly it is very loud and quite embarrassing. Hopefully I can narrow this down soon.

If it sounds like something is dragging (hard to tell in the video) it's probably not the pads. If you had your brakes recently done, someone probably yanked the disk with the dust shield. Put the car on ramps (or safely jack and put jack stands) and put a screw driver behind the dust shield and bend it back out enough so it doesn't rub on the disk.

Both excellent things to check.

maybe your bearings might be going. i know mine are and i was getting a terrible rattle/squeel noise when i would accelerate or slow down.. i thought at first it was the dust shield.

took it to some guys, they took out the calipers/rotors and check the bearings, put everything back and noise was gone... idk how to explain it but no longer there. this fixed my issue.

if something is dragging, it could be your fender liner

Bro, I did my brakes last weekend. When I took it for a test drive I heard something grinding, popped out the tire and sure enough the dust shield was touching the rotor. Grabbed a screw driver pryed it back and the noise was gone.

Thanks for all the responses guys. Seems like the dust shield is my best bet. It may be stupid but what does the dust shield look like?!?
