Hello everyone , I just recently bought my pearl white 2005 G35 sedan with 69k mi on her 2 months ago. Ever since then I have been in love with it. Everything on it is completely stock and 3 weeks ago I had 20% tint put all around. Within the next few weeks I plan on spraying my stock wheels black and doing the simple bolt on upgrades (z-tube,spacers,etc.) to get the most bang for my buck kinda thing. After I'm looking towards the suspension. One of the made things I am wanting to do is install the ipod integrater into my stereo system, or get a dd faceplate and install a new stereo. The only problem is I have the medium wood grain finish in my car (I'm not sure exactly what wood it is but its a nice medium brown color, I'll add a picture later if i remember too) and the only ones I've been able to find are the aluminum ones. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated, but the main thing i wanted to do is say hello to the community.

they do not sell a DD kit in the wood finish, but there is a thread where a guy cut the stock radio face plate to work with the aftermarket dd head unit. it came out great but i cant seem to find the thread.

 

I found some woodgrain vinyl on Amazon that I'm going to see if matches up close enough to the stock woodgrain and just buy the DD kit. What head unit do you guys reccomend I should get?

 

I just installed the JVC KW-NT3HDT in my car and it's awesome. A lot of guys on here like Pioneer decks as well, take a cruise through the Audio/Video section for more opinions.
