Sadly, I didn't get the flange made.

My #14815 is welded onto my stock middy.

But I added Berk test pipes and it sounds beast.

any gain or loss in power if this is done? What if i just change the muffler and do not have any mid-pipe from coupe or y pipe? what will be the difference?

Thanks

No loss in power. The only gain comes from the HR y pipe (~5whp) but still nothing you will feel. No gain or loss if you just do the muffler

Also, videos coming hopefully late tomorrow night. Once I finally get off work and get to meet up with my friend.

like he said above the hr y-pipe will be the most beneficial and it honestly depends on what year your g is. if its an 05+ you could just stick with your midpipe and acquire the hr & muffler. with the 03-04 you "should" pick up coupe mid or 05+ mid but it's honestly up to you

exhaust sounds great . I've been debating whether or not to do this swap for a while now . mostly because of the drone issue and the pipe modifications . but I think I'll pull the trigger now. btw, I found this clip on youtube . same muffler different tips (oval) which I like better. part #14830. check it out

installed the magnaflow 14830 yesterday and love it. Exactly the sound I was looking for, highly recommended!!

I had to take it to three shops before I found someone who would install it at the flange and not cut directly into the existing pipe. That shop actually also said they could not do it, but I brought in the photo of skylinesthelimit install and they said they would give it a shot.. So thank you for the write up and pics!! Low and behold, wallah it was installed exactly how I wanted...

Any half decent muffler shop will install this muffler and not cut the midpipe it is not needed. Extremely simple install, i have a guy that can install it in 10 mins for 30 bucks lol
