Steering Wheel Angle Sensor

OK so i replaced a rack and pinion in a G35X and i reset the steering wheel angle sensor but i am getting a code for a faulty signal and the VDC wont stay on, as soon as i turn it on the traction control freaks out and brakes one of the front wheels then turns its self back off. The sensor is reading because i can see the change on a scan tool. Any recomendations?

I don't think your rack is centered.. How many steering wheel turns to full left from center? And full right? Should have 1.75 turns each way.

Or your alignment is wayyyy off, try to eye ball it to get rid of the VDC light.

when you reset the sensor, did you set it with the steering wheel in the position with the car driving straight, or just with the steering wheel set to the center position?
The 'ST angle' setting must be done with the steering wheel in whatever position is required for the car to track straight, which isn't always when the steering wheel is centred.
