thanks so much for checking that. I'm running mine the same as you now.

JDM on Left (driver side) and USDM on right (passenger side), the fold-in amount is almost dead even, the only viewing angle that is wrong is the Driver side. If we can find a way to correct the driver side viewing angle we're golden, personally I don't see a straightforward way to do that.

Thanks again for posting this is EXACTLY the confirmation I was waiting for before doing a write up.

the passenger side close just a bit more then the driver side but you cant even notice

as far as a fix for the bad viewing angle on the diver side i need to wait for another day off to mess with it but now that i have the mirrors closing the same... the mirror angle is next on the list to work on a got a few things in my head just need to test them all out

here are some better pictures of the mirrors closed... passenger side close just a lil bit more then the driver side

Looks great, I hope you can come up with a solution for hte mirror angle. keep in mind simply tilting the base that holds the mirror/motor with shims won't work, you need to move it out and then tilt it.

Just shimming it for more angle will just aim it at the mirror cover inner edge, so you won't gain more view of the road, just more view of the mirror cover edge.

Unless your aftermarket covers are much different than stock covers......

hey neo if you try this you need to grind a little of the plastic off the USDM mirror base for it to work with the JDM mirror motor

here is a picture for you

Here's a measurement of the JDM Bases used on both sides.

Driverside

1-15/16" from window

Passengerside

2-15/16"

So as you can see they're different.

I will change the pass side to the USDM and measure. This should be closer like mentioned above.

You guys kick **** this is getting so much more informative!!

And the notch out Neo posted should need to be done to either side USDM base to accomodate the little steel tab that is on the JDM Folding Motor unit.

I think we are stuck with the bad angle on the mirror if we want the glass frame to look normal. Im use to it.
I say this because we decreased the base angle, which inturn makes us need more mirror angle to have the same view. Of course we know we can only make the glass go so far to that side. If we make the mirror angle any greater you will start to see behind the mirror frame. Which looks pretty dumb. Plus when the mirror is closed you have to add in the frame sticking out and hitting the window. If our measurements are almost 2" that really doesnt leave room for the frame to stick out for the increased angle we need.

Yeah^^ That's where I'm at with it.

My only idea is a different mirror design and/or a convex stick-on that is angled on one side to compensate, somthing like those blind-spot stick on mirrors you can buy, but cleaner
