Wow, that has to be the lowest 05-06 sedan still out there. Kind of hard to believe. I think you're better off getting the dashboard recovered in like suede (if that's you're thing) or get a complete dash out of a junkyard car that didn't deploy airbags. I really don't know how hard it is to swap over a whole dash but it might be doable.

Many of us have cracked dashes, talk about planned obsolescense, Infinity sells a dash mat to cover their defective dash, $45.
Good luck

INFINITI dash cover, have the cracks filled and cover the dash in suede, or a dash from a junk yard... i use Meguiars Natural Shine Protectant on the dash, but i wanna try Chemical Guys. Also a sun shade will help

Do these dash covers interfere with the operation of the airbag?

If you had all your maintenance done by the infinity dealer, I think they will repair it aqt no coast. Customer loyalty, etc. Since my dealer was 50 miles away, I had all my non warranty work done at a Nissan dealer.
Before I traded the car, the cracked dash was effecting several things, radio, cd player. So Yeah that's a good point, it could well effect the air bags. That may light a fire under the dealer and you can get it repaired.
Good luck

Cracked Dashed options: Dash Cover

To have Dealer repair in Good Faith only if you had your car serviced there is called EXTORTION! Why should I give a dealer thousands in routine Service and Maintenance that I can do myself? Things that should last nearly the life of the car should be repaired free of charge or some prorated charge. Our cracked Dashes are a defected product they don't want to admit , They finally fixed the F35 dash under legal pressure .The G35 Folks never got together to do the same.

I have had the Dash Cover made in swede by Cover King for over a year now. In my opinion ,it's the best option short of replacing the Dash. It does not interfere with the passengers air bag. Each person has to decide what action best suits their needs.

Wow that's pretty bad dash cracking. It sucks since the rest of the car still looks great. Its a fault from Infiniti using cheap dash material. I had an old 94 Toyota Celica back in college that had better dash material that never cracked, and I used cheap Armor-all wipes on it all the time.

Same cheap crappy leather material on the corner of the driver seat, which tears on most older G's...

What sucks is that all of the leather in my car is perfect, it is just the dashboard. I imagine it gets the hottest but I haven't heard of anyone else with this issue.
I am having the exact same issue with my 2005 G35 sedan. The dashboard has several splits in the leather. Also, the leather wrapped around the inside door handles has come loose. Not happy. I also don't want to buy a whole new dash. Anyone know of any other options?

I bought matching leather fabric as OEM and glued it over my entire dash. Basically re-wrapped it. It’s doable if you’re handy. I even took pics to write up a DIY but the comp I was using crapped out and I lost everything.

Had mine recovered by an auto upholstery shop for around $600. There are so many material colors to choose from that a perfect match would be almost assured. Mine was.
