Airbag Light Blinking

Airbag light is blinking and giving code B1129 Side Module RH. Anyone have a DIY on it? I did plenty of reading on that and wasn’t able to find anyone DIY for it.

The dealer told me it’s a common problem and Infiniti will not pay for it since my car is ’03 with 86k on it. From what I read some paid to replace the bag and module and some just change the module. It can cost up to 2k to fix this issue, that’s crazy money for a car that suppose to be reliable. We need to start a campaign to get a recall on this issue and not just to glue the harness like the last recall.

I had someone turn my car on until the light came on then immediately turn it off before it turned off to flash, they did it 5 or 7 times I forgot. don't start the car just to the on position till the light turns off for that first flash.
It reset the abs system, which turned off the light for about 3 Weeks out so.
Not a fix but it may get the light off till you can fix it.
I have an 03 sedan that this worked on, but not his 05 sedan.

Yes, it works on g35-37 after 2007 year But I do it sometime, one's a weak, ore one’s a some month.

So, Infiniti/Nissan have a trouble with contacts in airbag system.
It's not normally, but known trouble.

I did the key reset several times but the light comes back after several days.

I purchased my sedan with the light flashing and the dealership said they would take care of it. They made the appointment to fix it and when the total came to $992 to replace the module they backed out... Talk about some BS!

It's not cheap to fix that's why infiniti not doing a recall on it like they should.

My light on on now, I reset it everyday. Longest it stayed out for was 1 month.

How much you pay to get the code scanned?

Autozone doesnt have a reader for air bag codes.

my bad I figured airbag codes used the same terminal as the CES codes. It should, really, and the fact that it doesn't is pure unadulterated greed by the people who run those tests and/or manufacture the code readers.

Air bags are a HUGE safety restraint.

If I ran an auto company I wouldn't want a 16 year old to be able to reset an air bag light with a $30 code reader.

Fix the issue, don't just turn off the light.

I think its just the wiring. I had like 5 cars so far and never had a light on til the g35. I can't understand how something can go bad if it doesnt get weathered or isnt a moveable part.

my light just came on today, my navi said "supplemental airbag" im guessing thats the passenger or side airbags? idk I know I brought it in for a recall a lil under a yr ago and they had to remove the seats to reposition some airbag wiring, but that was a while ago so idk if thats the cause... how do you do the reset?
