Another magic application of WD-40!!!

Using wd-40 is just a quick fix and really doesnt do anything that the turtle wax ICE or the meguiars plastic restore is going to do. All of those i listed will just give the haze a wet look that makes it look clear when really it has not gotten all of the scratches and dirt and grime off. If you have a haze or yellowing you really need to use a restoration kit that has all of the sandpaper, buffing pads and ect this will be the only way to get rid of the scratches and film that cause the haze and yellowing
What's pretty much what I was about to say.

I started this thread for the benefit of the members in this forum. I was skeptical at first but I was not ignorant about it either. I have used WD-40 to remove the haze from my covers easily. I did not start the thread to create a debate about it's worthiness. If you have not tried it, don't knock it and don't be ignorant about it either! If you are happy to spend your time to buy the buffing stuff and spend a lot of time on it, that's your business.
Haze can be inside and or outside the cover. Of course, nothing will remove the haze inside. It's common sense to wipe clean the cover after your have clean it. You just don't leave an oily film on the cover!

I have seen people say transmission fluid does the same thing.
I believe there are all just very temporary fixes. It will wash off when it rains or when you wash your car.
I use the meguairs plastics with a drill and a buffing pad every time I wash my car.
takes 1 min per head light and lasts 2-3 weeks.
