Painting Calipers... Black or Red?
No it wasn't. He should of sanded and painted the rotor hats black to cover the rust. Even if some rust came back it would look nowhere near as bad as it currently sits

Painting the outer lip is tough but makes a big difference as well.
I don't get it. If I painted the rotor, won't the paint just come off when you apply the brakes? Or worse, couldn't it F up your brake pads?

lol tape off the friction surface bromine. You can't paitn the friction surface, you're correct. You only paint the center section and if you want to get fancy, the outer lip edge that the pad doesn't contact.
yeah, the hats painted black make a huge difference in making it look clean...mine are done with some low gloss high heat engine enamel, and they've held up a good few months now with no signs of rust
