Question about rims/tires.

I have an 03 sedan with 275/35's on the rear and 245/35's on the front... When I had my car lowered an inch and a half in the rear, the fender literally sit on the tire and rubbed some tread off. I'm just wondering how people lower their cars to where the fender is on the tire and it doesn't affect anything... Is that rolled fenders? Stretched tires? Any help would be appreciated.

You will have to get the rear fenders rolled

What is the offset of your wheel?

Just rolling the fender usually does the trick. People that need to pull/flare fenders are usually running pretty intense offsets.

So many different factors play on how a wheel fits in the wheel well. Including what you have listed ( Fender work, Tire stretch ) but also on, how wide the wheel is, what the offset of the wheel is, and what your camber is at.

Honestly, I don't know the offset of the wheels. I bought them used, and the guy never told me. They're 19x9 front and 19x9.5 rear.

Yea, depending on the offset.. one u can do that should fix the problem is have your fenders in the rear rolled.. Also, some of the guys run negative camber with stretched tires in the rear.

Yeah, rolling the fenders and/or running stretched tires should fix it. I'm curious what the offset is on your wheels too. Pics?

If the outside edge of the fender sits on the tire rolling the fenders not going to make a difference, on top of that if it's not done correctly you risk damaging the paint. You should check into adding negative camber to tuck the tires first, no sense in effing up you car just to find out you've got the wrong wheels.

Yeah, the outside of the fender is sitting on the tire. How do I add negative camber and/or stretch tires? Sorry, I'm new at all this stance stuff.

Rear camber adjusters to gain negative camber, but the inside of the tires wear out. Search this site, there are a ton of posts covering this.
Stretched is a narrow tire on a wide wheel, check out this thread
