Proud new baby!
Hey Everyone. I'm really not familiar with this forum...I joined it a few days ago out of interest for an Infiniti I had spotted in the local classifieds well....after much research and haggling I purchased my first G yesterday. Hopefully I will not regret my decision. Surely I will add a few mods here and there but I am quite pleased with the Stock appearance of these cars.
Here she is. 2003, 5AT, 62,000 Miles. I paid 7,000 (Canadian) for it after tax....There were really hard to find in this condition with that mileage at that price. Did I do OK? Anything I should look out for? Its in great working condition. From what I gather the previous owner was a 50 to 60 years old and drove it very lightly. the plastic film was still on the kicker plate inside the door sills.

As far as wheels go maybe some newer Infiniti 18"s but call me crazy I like to stick to the "should of come this way" kind of look.
I will keep everyone posted

Done! I gave her a good ride this afternoon. What a beauty to drive. It's a nice upgrade from my 01 Subaru outback Wagon haha...hit 230kph with it today (130mph ish). I'm pretty sure there is an angry farmer out there who saw me off the highway....I mean government funded country wide race track.
While hp is important to me, I do also Enjoy turning my radio off and listening to the music. Coupled with the proper catback and intake it should have a nice little growl. Any suggestions to get the low rpm silence and mid to high rpm howl? Is there any way to keep it classy basically?
Thanks guys. I look forward to getting some advice and maybe learn from a few of someone else's mistakes haha.. It certainly feels like the kind of car I can enjoy driving and making my own. This model seems to be a diamond in the rough for a few reasons
People who buy luxury cars generally don't buy used cars....and since Infiniti is not a merc and it's not a Beemer it seems to be a harder sell used. This making the price fairly low and very negotiable. If you want a low mileage one it's a little harder to negotiate but they are out there.
As far as insurances go the car seems to fall into a certain category because if it's weight and the fact it's a 4 door Nissan. Making it quite reasonable.
