03 G35, 60K check up, what to look for?

Hey everyone, I have an 03 G35 Sedan, AT, that just hit 60k that I'm taking in to the dealer for the check up. I know the list of things they look for in the book, but I was wondering since the car is a bit older is there anything I should ask them to look at besides what's on the check up list?

I've noticed a burning oil smell coming in at 3.5k+ RPM, this is my first car so I don't know if that's natural or not.

Also the car seems to be running a bit more rich than before, although the driving mood has been the same. My friend told me that's because before my grandfather never really got above 3k RPM and I drive a bit more aggressively, so the car's just opening up.

And the last thing is the oil consumption that seems to happen later on with these models. Should I just have an oil catch can put on now, or wait until the problem arises?

I think the oil consumption issue was mainly with cars that had Manual Transmissions

Wait your 10 year old car barely hit 60k??????

6,000 miles a year is nothinggg! You shouldn't be having any problems man. Grandpa didn't bother driving the thing.

But anyways, don't worry about that smell. Just get the oil changed with some synthetic 5W-30 and put some Lucas stabilizer in there. Also put some fuel system cleaner. Other then that just put in some new spark plugs and maybe a air filter and you should be good to go. If the car was never driven hard it will smell or burn when you do so... I learned that when I bought mine. An older lady had it and seemed to never go higher then 3.5k RPMs and never went over 75mph. So after a while of smashing the gas and doing 120 on the freeway the car got used to it and was running good.

Partially right. Manual transmission with rev up engine that was found in 05-06 sedans.

Op, with that old of car I would do basic preventative maintenance if you don't .know what was done. Change belts, plugs, trans and rear diff fluid. Also flush radiator and brake fluid as well as change the oil. I have an 05 with 156k that I have owned since new. I am a little more conservative now, but I am still known to floor it now and then. These cars are strong and reliable so it should last you a while, unless you don't do basic maintenance or wrap it around a tree.
