I was thinking a cold air intake or an intake of some sort.
or what else is there as an engine mod for that price with some little hp gain?
A used 350z tube with spectra filter. It wont do much for performance but it will give a more aggresive growl and good for maybe 3hp

what about this? and a spectre air filter?
http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewi...id=25803191513

this has been making my thoughts race a round for a while now.

why is it that with traction control "ON" I can hold the brake, floor it, and still manage to burn out?
shouldn't the TC notice wheel slippage and stop this?

Only thing I can think of is the ecu sees the front wheels are not moving and it can tell the driver wants to burn out, so the ecu doesn't do anything about it until the front wheels start to move. is this correct?

I am plastidipping the steering wheel cover now.
the grill came out sweet. I'll post pcs in a bit.
for the wheel cover.
I hot glued it from the back, glue it from the front to fill the cracks with glue, ad then I grinding off all excess with a wire wheel.
then I sanded it and popped the center emble out.
I painted the emblem satin black but it looks like glass black. and I'm in the process of Plasti sipping the cover.

a few coats and it should all look even.
only thing that worries me is the glue melting in the sun. :|

behind the grill is a black license plate. it has some dealer ships name on the front. so I just painted the back of it satin black and I'm gonna put it on like that.

what sucks is its raining outside so I can install any of this, and I gotta go to school at 8, so I'm gonna have to install it tomorrow. hopefully it stops raining

a few other things I fixed today. put a hood stick holder so the stick doesn't move around when you drop it down(the thing it snaps into on the radiator support)
also fixed my hood latch. it was loose and a little too low so it was hard to close sometimes.
raised it a bit an works great now.
baby steps. lol

what I didn't like about Plasti dip is it takes like 6 coats of it to completely cover up something (depending on size) by the time you paint something the can is empty.

Rant*
today on my way to school the hood opened for some reason. I pulled over to close it and when I go to get in. the door is locked and my phone is in there and the engine is on.
had to walk 200 ft in 60 degree weather to call box. wait outside 40 min for aaa and waste gas just idling for almost an hr.

lol yea. it still looks bad.
and yea. wasn't so bad. could've been raining.

good news. when I took the grill off I saw it had a front crash sensor!
that was cool.

also got some 2 12" subs.
hifonics and zuez hifonics amp. gonna install tomorrow.

and if your buddy had had that wheel cover a week ago when I had the 100 bucks I would've bought it haha.

now I gotta wait like 3 weeks till I get more spending money for cars. or in a few days if I sell an Acura I have.
Does anyone know how or if it is possible to convert the single air intake into a dual intake?

this is an idea I have to convert the intake manifold into a dual.

just take the manifold off .have a shop cut of the stock angled intake tube off and them have them weld a T onto it.
then I can do the dual intake.
excuse my poor writing and drawing. I was using a pillow to write on. haha

He had it a week ago. I just didnt know you needed it. I thought you just needed the dash. You should wrap yours in suede to cover all that up. And its impossible to get dual intakes unless off course you do a whole motor swap with the newer HR motor. Something that would cost more than what you paid for your car

ahh. oh we'll. hopefully this car sells quick.

and I was thinking it'd be a manifold swap or a new engine swap.
I see now tha it is an idea that will be forgotten

why is that? haha
and I have a feeling my "dual intake design" will work.
would that bring me any power gains?
if the price is right at the machine shop. I might do it. it'd look pretty cool.
