I have a 2003 sedan and I leave my car unlocked all the time. It never locks automatically. Now if you unlock your car and don't touch it for a period of time, the car will relock. Other than that, my car has never locked by itself...Maybe I am missing something.

Sorry to hear about you being locked out. I don't have any other suggestions except the ones above. Can the system be reprogramed to NOT lock the car in those situations???
