warranty void with mods

I recently purchased an 04 G35x premium pack, black on black. I have been drivin, and lovin this car's handling and performance, although it could always use a little more. I have 2 questions for all that have done a sick job with their sedan's.....
1 - How do the modifications affect the car's warranty. I had a 1.8t jetta before this car, and just adding an after market intake caused issues for service. They would not touch the car with it on. Does anyone that has made mods on their g35 have any feedback on infiniti dealing with a modded car?
2 - lb for lb what is the best performance mod for this car. In regards to both price and performance gain, what would be the best mod to go with...staying bolt on. Also the sound of the stock exhaust does sound nice, but could always sound nicer, what would you recommend for exhaust and for intake if needed. I did hear that changing the intake actually did nothing for performance just changed the sound...........

Nice

I have seen that act before and know that they have to prove that the mod was the cause of the problem. It is just the fact to get to that point most dealers will mess with you. If the car needs to be fixed, but won't because of a mod...that's just money out of pocket even if i would have oto disput and win a while down the road. For example i had a jetta 1.8t and when i had to bring the car in for a problem, they ran the test and after said they couldn't find the problem cause the intake was throwing off the test. They were said i had to pay for the test and take of the intake. I flipped and went crazy cause i wasn't about to pay for it....but they didn't care.....so in the end i had to take it in the end ; ) and pay for the test.
Basically i know certain car companies are more leniet then others and i was just wondering if anyone that has taken a car in for service with a noticable mod, received the service no problem.........................

Thanks for the link though it is an awesome reference for any future dealers i have to fight with.....

it really depends on the dealer...if the service manager is an @$$, forget about it...good luck.

WOW Granatelli motorsports. I bought my supercharger from them back in 1990 for my Firebird. The guy there got pissed because I called him relentlessly for 2 months asking for installation help.
