I've been comparing the G35 & 350z, and it seems that the 350z has more torque (and more hp in the 'track' model, which as 300hp at a lower rpm), while having better mileage weighing about 250lbs less then the g35. I'm assuming this is due to better intake and exhaust setup, but I'm still curious why the G dropped in MPG for 2005 due to the power increase.

another strange thing is the upcoming M35 that weighs 3,832lbs, will give the same mileage at the G35 auto - 18/25, according to nissannews.com
