Question about auto lock doors
A few minutes ago I unlocked my car and after 30 some odd seconds my doors locked by them selves is this normal for a g35x 06 model I thought it was so cool I dot know idiots stock or the owner before me installed it just gt car
From the owner's manual:
All doors will be locked automatically unless one of the following operations is performed within 1 minute of pushing the UNLOCK button.
- opening any door.
- opening trunk lid.
- turning the ignition switch to the ON position
Not sure why they programmed that in but it is kinda cool.

Car needs to be locked, and then if you press the unlock and do not perform any action on the car, it does lock back.
This is common with OEM keyless remotes, it is to prevent that you press the unlock by mistake so you don't get stolen.

What he said. If you unlock the doors, but don't actually open a door, the car will lock them again.
I experience this every time I get gas. I'll lock the car to go in the store, come out, unlock the doors to open my gas cap and thhe doors will lock before I'm done pumping gas

It's a very nice feature. Just in case anyone is forgetful at times at least your car will be locked if you hope out it and rush off forgetting to lock it.
