Hello, I'm new to this forum, and I have a quick question.

I own a 2003 G35, and love it to death.

About two weeks after I bought it, there was a rattling noise coming from the front left wheel. It's not a constant rattling noise, it usually happens when I hit about 55mph and when I reach around 80, my car feels like it's going to fall apart. I was just wondering if anyone else has heard of this problem, and what it could possibly be?

Search the forums for compression rod issues, this is a very common problem seen with these cars. Look if it is similar to your problem.

Unless he has a coupe and accidentally posted in the sedan forum, probably doesn't have brembos. I would guess the ever common wheel bearings.

Thanks! I'll definitely have to check it out. I thought maybe my suspension was just loose on that side. If I can't figure it out by today, I'll have to take it to a garage.

Tie rods! Have the wheel jacked up and see if there's any play in the wheel by wiggling it...A symptom of a worn tie rod will make you feel as if the wheel is floating. Could also be bushings, fairly easy to have eyeballed

First things first, how many miles on her?
If you can put her up on stands, check the front wheels.
Up down, left and right, and rock top to bottom.
You should not get much movement at all.

A little bit over 111,000. We're getting new tires put on the front tonight, so hopefully whoever puts them on will be able to figure it out. I hope it's nothing too serious.
